H.E. Ambassador Mulu Solomon paid a working visit to the city of Wittenberg.

H.E. Ambassador Mulu Solomon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to Germany paid a working visit to the city of Wittenberg and held meetings with the mayor of Wittenberg city, head of Chamber for east Germany, Wittenberg agricultural farming cooperative, Hanni Sustainable Investments GmbH and officials of Paul Gerhardt Stift specialized hospital.
During the visit, the Ambassador discussed in detail on creating cooperation between the chambers of commerce of the two countries and transfer technology and knowledge on animal husbandry, milk production and distribution, training of medical professionals and medical equipment.
While meeting with Mr. Eckhard Naumann, Mayor of Wittenberg city, an agreement was reached to facilitate business relations at different levels and work on establishing a sister city agreement with a partner city from Ethiopia. The possibility of importing cut flower directly from Ethiopia was explored.
Similarly, the chamber head for east Germany Mr. Jens Grinberg agreed to cooperate on exploring job opportunities for Ethiopian youths at different companies under the chamber. an agreement was reached to import special organic Ethiopian coffee to a chain of coffee shop in Germany.
The visit aimed to promote business relations between business entities in east Germany, Wittenberg city and their counterparts in Ethiopia.
