Ethiopian Airlines plans to fly from Addis Ababa to Munich from 1 December. The airline plans Munich as a stopover on the route to Stockholm. The Boeing 757 on the flight ET714 / 15 used to make a technical stop in Cairo on the way to Stockholm. This is now eliminated on the route and will be replaced in both directions by a stopover in Munich.

Ethiopian Airlines did not want to make an official statement, as a request has yet to be considered by the authorities. Munich Airport confirmed the plans of the East African Star Alliance airline for a daily connection with airliners.de.

This makes Munich the second German destination of the aspiring airline from Ethiopia. Ethiopian currently flies daily between her home hub in Addis Ababa and Frankfurt. Frankfurt was after Washington DC the second destination in the international route network of the airline, which was served by a Boeing 787 in regular service .

Boeing 787 comes later to Frankfurt again
